"We Need to Reflect Who We Are "

The world of senior health and housing is changing and expanding rapidly. Miller’s Health Systems, a premier provider of these services in Indiana, wanted websites that reflected the positive, state-of-the-art work being done in their 30 rehabilitation centers and 10 Assisted Living Communities. It was also important that their sites were open and easy for their customers—typically, older adults—to use.

The previous Millers’ website attempted to group information related to their two divisions, along with corporate and employment information, into a single website. Since each component needed to communicate to a different audience, the one-size-fits-all design was losing its effectiveness, and was becoming more difficult to navigate by their targeted viewers.

It was time for the graphics and navigation capabilities to be updated to better represent Miller's Health Systems as the friendly and technologically advanced company that it is.

Usability Rule of Thumb:

Your website should be extremely easy to use. If visitors do not find what they expect -- quickly and easily, they'll move on to your competition.

The graphic designed was out-of-date and did not represent Miller's Health Systems as being the technologically up-to-date company that they are.

The New Websites

Two new websites were developed: Miller's Merry Manor, and Miller's Senior Living. By defining these divisions separately, their targeted audiences are able to access the information they desire more specifically and quickly.

New graphic designs were incorporated to coordinate with the company’s new marketing material. Of primary importance was the need to reflect the personal touch that is so important to Miller's Health Systems' vision and mission.

For consistency, the two new websites mirror one another in terms of navigation and functionality - with a very user-friendly menu and layout.
